Certified PGA Professional Doug Temple, founder of the “Golf for Life” program and long time director of instruction is the NEW Golf professional at Indian River Golf Club. As the Golf Professional Mr. Temple will be working with the membership, community and resort play to make sure all guests have an exceptional experience. Doug is looking forward to starting the Indian River Golf Academy and creating added value for the membership by implementing practices like demo days, woman’s day in golf, vendor fairs, new tournaments and improving overall customer service. “Being the Head Professional at Indian River is a great honor. Long time instructors Dr. Pete Bishop and Jim Ankenbrandt will be leading the “Golf for Life” teaching staff. Combined the two individuals bring over 50 years experience and a passion for exposing youth to this great game. Doug Temple said, “I’ve known Jim and Pete for years. They’re respected and accomplished instructors and players. Together the two of them along with the other staff instructors (Greg Harrant, Jason Cheesbro, Quin Kane, Mike Schultz, Bob Norris, Nick Jacks, Allen Temple) are going to make this year the BEST EVER!
